Commuter students are an integral part of the Purchase College community.  Commuter Services is dedicated to creating and maintaining a strong line of communication with the commuter population.  Various services are available to provide commuting students with comfortable options between classes and a deliberate focus is placed on community development. Commuter Services Mission

The mission of Commuter Services in the Office of Student Life is to advocate the needs of, provide programming for, and support and enhance the educational experience of commuter students at Purchase College. More specifically:

  • Provide opportunities that allow for commuter student involvement/engagement with each other, students living on campus, members of faculty and staff
  • Provide programming that is conducive to commuter students needs and schedules 
  • Provide personalized, timely information and resources that are inclusive of the larger campus community as well as specific departmental services; such as Parking Services and Transportation
  • Advocate for University-wide efforts to increase services and programming for commuter students
  • Maintain and facilitate usage of the Commuter Student Lounge
