If you are raped or the victim of any sexual violence, a counselor can provide totally confidential services by helping you:

  • receive emergency assistance/crisis counseling and professional emotional support
  • consider your options about pressing charges, filing a report and addressing medical concerns
  • address issues of safety in your residential environment
  • receive support from your academic professor(s) if you miss class, assignments, and /or exams as a result of sexual violence

Health Services  x6380
Sexual violence victims may request the following medical services:

  • treatment for STDs
  • Morning after pill
  • GYN care
  • Referral for strictly confidential counseling (on or off campus)
  • Request that your medical record be kept in case evidence is needed to support your case if you choose to pursue legal action
  • Assistance in receiving hospital services such as HIV testing, and emergency HIV treatment (reduces likelihood of becoming HIV positive by 60%)

University Police  x6900
Victims of sexual assault, relationship violence, or stalking can file a report with University Police if they wish to pursue criminal prosecution.  University Police also has officers who are specially trained to work with victims of sexual assault and to get them connected with further resources.

The Office of Community Standards can help you by:

  • issuing no contact orders
  • informing you of all of your campus discipline options
  • talking you through the campus discipline process
  • making appropriate referrals to additional resources
