Purchase College Affiliates Grants Program
The Purchase College Affiliates Grants Program seeks proposals that enrich student life on campus through intellectual, academic, and cultural or social projects for the benefit of many students.

Eligibility
All part-time and full-time faculty and staff who are members of UUP
Deadline for applications is usually in February

Types of Support
Registration fees for conferences or workshops; consumable supplies; books and software; travel expenses; research support (computer time, network access, clerical support); equipment lease or purchase (any equipment becomes the property of the State of New York); tuition and course related supplies. The maximum allowance for tuition and/or travel reimbursement will be at the SUNY rate at the time of application.

Professional Council’s Professional Development Awards (formerly called President’s Awards for Professional Staff Development)

Eligibility
Professional Employees of the College with at least a .5 appointment for one year.
Deadline for applications is usually in March

Type of Support
Group Projects
Conferences, seminars, and workshop ideas that usually occur on campus, during the workweek are evaluated and developed by the Council of Professional Employee’s Professional Development Committee. Projects endorsed by the committee are submitted with a budget for the Presidents approval at the beginning of the academic year.
Individual Projects
Any project that enhances the professional growth and development of the staff member, increases the value of that individual to the college, or has a positive impact on an operating unit of the College.

Faculty Support Awards

Deadline: usually December 1
Maximum amount $1,500 for Jr. Faculty, $1,000 for senior faculty

Type of Support
Faculty research, travel, conference presentations, artistic endeavor

Jr. Faculty Development Awards

Type of Support
Two Jr. Faculty members are awarded a semester leave time with full salary to provide them time for complete concentration to complete a project
