Cross Country

Head Coach: Jill Vollweiler (4th Year)

Purchase College named Jill Vollweiler the head men's and women's cross country coach in 2005 following a stint at the College of New Rochelle, where she was the head cross country coach for two seasons from 2003-2005.

Vollweiler has coaching experience at both the high school and collegiate levels. While still a graduate student at Syracuse University, she was head cross country coach at Onondaga Community College during the 1997 and 1998 fall cross country seasons.

After graduating from S. U. with a Master's Degree in Exercise Science in the spring of 1999, she returned to her high school alma mater, the Hackley School, where she coached first as an assistant coach and then as a head cross country and track and field coach from 2000-04. Vollweiler was also the head track coach at Harrison H. S. in the spring of 2002 and currently coaches at Horace Greeley H. S. in Chappaqua, NY, as an assistant on the outdoor track and field team, and has been there since 2003. In addition to coaching at Purchase and Horace Greeley, she coach's middle school cross country at the School of the Holy Child in Rye, NY.
 
A high school and college All-American Runner, Vollweiler is a Purchase, NY native of 33 years.

Assistant Coach: Richard Clark (1st Year)

Longtime teacher and coach Richard Clark joined the Panthers' coaching staff this fall. He brings 38 years of teaching experience in biology, science research and human physiology to the fold, not to mention 35 years of coaching men's and women's cross country and indoor and outdoor track and field.

As a runner himself, Clark was NY State Champion in cross country. He's also had several top 10 finishers in the last four years as a coach in cross country. 

 He currently serves on the NYSPHSAA State committee for cross country.
