Follow these instructions when applying to Purchase College as a Transfer Dramatic Writing applicant.
Note: International Applicants must follow the international application instructions.
Note: Transfer students who were enrolled in an Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP), College Discovery (CD) or similar special program at their initial college should review the Educational Opportunity Program portion of this website.

Step 1: Submit your completed application by March 30, 2009. Send the completed application and a check for $40 (payable to "SUNY APC") to:

Step 2: Have your official college transcripts sent directly to:

*Students with under 24 credits must request for official high school transcripts, SAT, ACT, and/or GED scores.
Step 3: Submit your portfolio
Students applying to the Dramatic Writing Program are required to submit a portfolio to:

The portfolio must contain:
• A critical writing sample, 1 to 3 pages in length.
• A creative writing sample, preferably a short play, screenplay, or television play that is 1 to 3 pages in length.
• A 1 to 2 page essay explaining your reasons for wanting to enter the program. Include an assessment of your strengths and weaknesses.
• Two letters of recommendation are required.
Step 4: Interviews may be requested by faculty
NOTE: Dramatic Writing applicants are not required to submit the Supplemental Admissions Form. The Supplemental Admissions Form is for Liberal Arts and Sciences and Art+Design applicants only. Please refer to the steps above for additional program requirements.
