Young Photographers

a

Ages 12–16

Using both 35mm and digital cameras, students learn the art and science of photography. Children learn first to select and frame subject matter from campus locations and home communities. Then, working in the restored darkrooms and the updated digital labs in the School of Art+Design, they turn their photos into art. At the end of the program, students present an exhibition of their framed and matted work for families and friends in the galleries of the Visual Arts Building.

  • Students must supply their own 35mm and basic digital cameras.
  • All other art supplies, including film, are included in the program fee.
