“I believe this program will leave an indelible and positive mark on my son that will continue to color his passion for film from this day forward.”
—from one of our parents
Spend the summer writing, directing, editing, and acting in original movies, while learning the art of visual storytelling. Starting with still-frame movies and building to more complicated scripts, new and returning students learn how to tell a story through images. They develop strong plot lines, build shot compositions, direct actors, practice set etiquette, and edit on a professional digital editing system. They become comfortable with digital video camera and lighting equipment and learn how to apply available resources toward the completion of their projects. Script writing, directing, lighting, and editing workshops are combined with film history to provide advanced students with an opportunity to enhance their skills and develop new ones.
