Shakespeare

Shakespeare

Ages 10–18

A two-week introduction to acting through the production of Shakespeare’s masterpieces, Shakespeare is offered for three sessions, each session culminating in a performance for family and friends. Students work with talented educators and practicing actors in six major fields: voice, language, acting, mask, dance, and movement. The program includes specialty classes in role-playing/improvisation, stage combat, and theatre history. Students are divided into small groups, and classes are taught using the framework of the Bard’s own writings. Each session is developed around different Shakespeare works, and students may register for one, two, or three sessions without repetition.
