It was not as difficult as I had previously feared. Sure, it was a tough decision because I have been working in the administrative field for some time now. However, I still maintained a desire for the arts and had admired them since my younger years. Between the Performing Arts Center and all the artists walking past you every day, I could not resist the opportunity to get to the finish line. Working and studying is never easy to do, but, man, when you are here amid all the creativity, it can be breathtaking at times.

KALEIDOSCOPIC
My professors have an eclectic way of teaching that lets me understand materials presented through a broad spectrum.  The professors make the courses interesting and keep me up-to-date with today’s real-life situations.  I will definitely use this information throughout the rest of my life. 
In addition, I have met some talented people here with common challenges in life and have found them to be of a great support. I was nervous coming back to school, but once I encountered the students and helpful staff, and professors, I felt like I belonged. Purchase has a place for everyone. And the student body, staff and professors are extremely diverse in every way possible. It’s like looking through a kaleidoscope as a child when you get here.

SHIFTING GEARS
I am currently looking to stay within my kind of work but also to change the path that I have been pursuing. As previously mentioned, I am looking to add purpose to my business career by stepping into the arts venue. Purchase is giving me that cutting edge that I have needed. I haven’t even graduated yet and, already, I am receiving offers that are really tough to turn down at the moment. I am realizing more and more that Purchase is a well-known and admired institution. Those who graduate from here will carry that significance with them for the rest of their lives.
What a wonderful place to find yourself and your place within today’s hectic world! The thing that I like most about my Purchase Experience is that I want to be here. It the one place where I can be as creative as I want with the work and assignments presented to me, bringing out my best. When I was looking for an educational institution, this school appreciated my prior educational background and gave me the best plan to finally reach my goals.  The professional yet friendly staff made my decision, well, a no-brainer.
