Purchase College Parent Orientation

Parent Orientation runs the same two days as the student's Orientation. This program is designed to give parents the reassurance they need to leave their students in Purchase College’s capable hands, while providing useful and relevant information.

The Parent Orientation schedule includes:                                          

  • Buffet lunch and dinner, and breakfast,
  • A meeting with the Dean of your student's School,
  • Presentations geared to parents by staff from Residence Life, Financial Aid and other offices,
  • A chance to visit our More Card Office to ensure your student never goes hungry,
  • Tours of our campus, including our very own Neuberger Museum,
  • A Jazz Social with dessert to end the day.

Staying the Night?

Accomodations for parents is available in our newest apartment-syle residence hall, Alumni Village. Each apartment consists of 4 single bedrooms with a shared kitchen, living/dining room and bathroom.  To reserve your spot in Alumni Village, please send us  your completed registration form, which was included in the same envelope as your son/daughter's Orientation letter.  If you misplaced your parent registration form, please call 914-251-6332 or email us at orientation@purchase.edu, and we will be happy to send you a new letter.
