Welcome to the Purchase College Online Writing Lab!

Our writing tutors in the Learning Center are available to provide feedback on how to improve and progress with your essays through this service. Please follow all instructions carefully to ensure that you receive the best possible feedback.

Writing tutors will provide advice and answer specific questions to the best of their knowledge. Writing tutors will not edit, proofread, or correct your work.

1. Please include specific assignment instructions when submitting your essay or draft. This will allow the tutors to provide accurate feedback.

2. Please specifically state the areas in which you would like the tutor to concentrate (content development, organization, etc.).

3. Please download and copy the OWL Tutor Response Form into your submission. This will be the template the tutor uses to provide feedback.

4.  Please allow at least 1—2 business days for feedback to arrive. Tutors do not work on weekends. 

When you are ready, please email learning@purchase.edu with the above information and remember to attach your essay.  Emails with unattached essays will not receive feedback.
