Founded in 1982, the President’s Club is composed of community leaders who are dedicated to fostering the highest standards of excellence at the College. Unrestricted contributions provided by membership in the President’s Club are vital to sustain and expand special initiatives, which define this distinctive institution.
You have the chance to really make a difference at Purchase College through your membership in the President’s Club.
We are proud to be associated with the exceptional educational and cultural programs offered right here in our community, and would like to share with you some exciting news of Purchase College.
For several consecutive years, U.S. News and World Report has ranked Purchase College among the top public liberal arts colleges in the Northeast. Freshman enrollment is the largest in the college’s history. Students from across the country are seeking the unique opportunities for visual and performing arts matched by a vibrant program of liberal arts study at Purchase College.
In addition, the College offers our community outstanding resources, with exhibitions, performances and opportunities for life-long learning.
While funding from the State provides faculty and staff salaries as well as general maintenance of the physical plant, it cannot meet the needs of Purchase College. Three out of four students request financial assistance. Scholarships make it possible to recruit top-notch students for their talents, abilities and scholastic achievement, rather than focusing on their ability to pay. Purchase has an outstanding teaching faculty whose students benefit from their latest research and professional activity.
Founded in 1982 to encourage unrestricted support for the college, the President’s Club provides direct aid to students through scholarships. Mini-grants to faculty are used to sponsor curriculum and research projects for inclusion in the classroom.
President’s Club Members are recognized each year in the Purchase College Foundation Annual Report.
