The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) at Purchase College, SUNY provides an opportunity for a college education for students who have not reached their academic potential because of limited financial resources and inadequate academic preparation. EOP at Purchase has a committed, dedicated staff who are eager to help students succeed. 

Admissions Process

Admission to the Educational Opportunity Program is not based solely on traditional admission criteria. If the candidate is eligible and demonstrates strong motivation for a college education, a series of inventories are administered. If the candidate meets the academic criteria, he or she will be interviewed by a member of the EOP staff. In addition, applicants to the Conservatory Art Programs must pass an audition, interview or portfolio review.

Pre-College Orientation Program
All first-time students must attend our pre-freshmen summer orientation program. This program is one week in duration. Its primary focus is to orient the student to EOP and begin to familiarize the student with Purchase College.
