Who may apply:

a. Persons holding an undergraduate degree or the equivalent from an accredited college in the
United States or an approved institution of higher education abroad.

b. Persons who are enrolled for a bachelor's degree who are in their senior year.

Follow these instructions when applying to Purchase College as a Graduate Art+Design MFA Program:

Note: International Applicants must follow the international application instructions.

Step 1: Submit your completed Purchase College Graduate Application.
Note: Completed applications must be received by February 1, 2009.

Send the completed Purchase College Graduate Application to:

Step 2: Include with your application packet the following items:

- a Non-Refundable Application fee of $50 (payable to
      "Purchase College")

- Personal Statement

- Portfolio of no more than 15 examples of your work. Please present 35mm slides in a transparent slide sheet (number and label slides with your name and indicate top of image) or digital slides as JPEGs burned to a CD-R. In the case of video or motion media work, please send a DVD in NTSC format that will play on a standard commercial DVD player. Animations can be sent on a CD-R or DVD-R as QuickTime files.

- Descriptive sheet with: slide number/filename, media, dimensions, title, and date 

- Official transcripts (in envelopes sealed by the registrar) from all
  undergraduate schools attended

- Two letters of recommendation

- Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope (SASE) for the return of the slide
  portfolio.  Please make sure the envelope is large enough and you
  have included the correct amount of postage.

- If you are not a U.S. citizen, you must request and complete the
   Purchase College International Application

- NO APPLICATIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED UNLESS ALL THE
  ABOVE ITEMS ARE INCLUDED WITH YOUR APPLICATION.
