The Liberal Studies B.A. Degree Completion Program is designed especially for adults and transfer students who need to complete their degree within a tight timeframe and with a flexible schedule. To accelerate the process of achieving a bachelor's degree, the program accepts up to 90 transfer credits from accredited colleges and institutions. You can choose from one of four majors offered at the Purchase College campus:
- Liberal Studies
- Liberal Studies: Arts
- Liberal Studies: Communications/Media Studies
- Liberal Studies: Legal Studies
Scholarships
Each year, the School of Liberal Studies & Continuing Education is provided a modest budget from which to award scholarships. In order to be eligible, you must meet all of the following criteria:
- Have completed at least 12 Purchase College credits.
- Have completed at least 60 total credits (transfer + Purchase).
- Have a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA at Purchase.
- Demonstrate financial need as indicated by your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Depending on the funds available, awards are made in amounts ranging from approximately $250 - $1000 per semester and are subject to change each year. You are encouraged to file a FAFSA each year by April 15th to determine eligibility for these scholarships.
