Audition Dates and application instructions for the Conservatory of Music for Spring and Fall 2009.

SPRING 2009: Please note that only a few programs are accepting applications for Spring admission. Voice/Opera, Composition, Studio Composition, and Studio Production are not accepting applications for Spring, and Jazz is only accepting Graduate applications. We will, however, hold auditions for Violins, Violas, Trombones, Piano, Harps, Bassoons and Oboes. Pre-screening materials are due in the Conservatory of Music office by October 15. FALL 2009: We will hold auditions for all programs. Only students who have a succesful pre-screening audition will be called back for a live audition. Live auditions will take place in March 5-10, 2009. Please see bleow for specific application instructions.

International Applicants must follow the international application instructions.

Graduate Applicants must follow the Graduate application instructions.

Note: Students who have not reached their academic potential because of limited financial resources and inadequate academic preparation should review the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) at Purchase College.

APPLICATION/AUDITION INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1: Submit your completed application
Note: You must submit your completed application to the Application Services Center (ASC) in Albany, NY so that the Admissions Office receives it by the deadline above by October 1 for Spring 2009 admission; and by December 15 for Fall 2009 admission.

Send the completed application(after it is reviewed by your guidance counselor), a check for $40 (payable to "SUNY APC"), and your Official Transcripts to:

Note: International Students need to mail the completed application to the Office of Admissions at Purchase College. International Students should review the international application instructions. 

Step 2: Request your official High School transcripts or GED scores, and SAT or ACT scores.

Step 3: Submit your preferred live audition date request through MyPurchase and mail your pre-screening recording and non-refundable $54 audition fee check made payable to Purchase College, Conservatory of Music. The pre-screening CD will be evaluated by our faculty to determine eligibility for a live audition. If you are eligible for a live audition, the Conservatory of Music staff will contact you via email to confirm your scheduled live audition date. Please note that we cannot guarantee you the live audition date you requested, but we will make every effort to assign you to your preferred date.
