Multicultural Leadership Library

Located in the Office of Student Life, this resource library contains books, journals and DVDs of a multicultural and/or leadership oriented nature. Used for program content development, intellectual attainment and just plain personal growth, these materials are available for student use. Borrowing privileges are also possible.

COPA (Cultural Organizations of Purchase Alliance)

A collective containing representatives from OAPIA, LU, SOCA, the Women's Collective and GLBTU, this group serves as the voice of multicultural advocacy from the student perspective.

A resource for these participating organizations amongst themselves, program collaborations is a common occurrence. Additionally, COPA serves as the dominant force to ensuring a diverse representation in campus programming.

A key feature of COPA is the PRIME Retreat.

PRIME Retreat (Purchase Rising Into Multicultural Excellence)

PRIME is a two day retreat at an off-campus site. Rising stars (first and second year students) within each organization are selected by the executive board to participate. Workshops are facilitated by current board members from each of the COPA organizations. The entire retreat operates on a leadership cycle philosophy, with participants eventually becoming facilitators, thus keeping the leadership base of each COPA organization strong each year.
